Project Description
I co-wrote a successful grant proposal for $10,000 to be used toward an educational art camp, stationed at the Orphanage of Monte Christi, Dominican Republic. Along with five other KU art students, I planned a week’s worth of art projects for the children of the orphanage and Monte Christi Township.

Project Title: Hurricane Relief Project
Project Description
This project was designed by Sculpture Club President, Sarah Heath, and carried out by club members, as a relief effort to the child victims of Hurricane Katrina. Using donated wood and packing materials; our club manufactured over two hundred pose-able Marti Gras inspired figurines. The toys were then shipped to some of the former residents of New Orleans at their temporary homes.
